Choose Respect

Anti-Bullying week is taking place this week (‪Monday 12th – Friday 16th November 2018‬) and the theme is Choose Respect. Derbyshire FA are in schools and clubs all week delivering sessions on Respect, and discussing our behaviour choices.

Anti-Bullying Week is an annual UK event held in the third week in November which aims to raise awareness of bullying of children and young people, in schools and elsewhere, and to highlight ways of preventing and responding to it. Follow the events on social media using #antibullyingweek and #abw18.

The effects of bullying can have a massive impact on all individuals, whether that is at school, work, college or socially. Anti bullying week is a great way to take a stand against bullying and raise awareness.

Pride Park FC will not tolerate bullying in any form, including cyber bullying, and endorses the FA’s identification of bullying as a category of abuse. Bullying of any kind is not acceptable at our club. If bullying does occur, all players, parents or guardians should be able to tell and know that incidents will be dealt with promptly.

Codes of conduct for players, parents or spectators, officials and coaches have been implemented by Pride Park Football Club. In order to validate these codes of conduct the club has clear sanctions to deal with any misconduct including bullying at club level and acknowledges the possibility of potential sanctions which may be implemented by leagues or the County FA in more serious circumstances.

All club members have been informed of these codes and have by signature evidenced their commitment to compliance with the Codes. The Codes can be viewed and/or downloaded Here

Incidents should be reported to the Club Welfare Officer David Kwiatek or, in cases of serious bullying contact:

Jennifer Blewitt (Designated Safeguarding Officer) at Derbyshire FA Safeguarding Team – 01332 361422 / safeguarding@DerbyshireFA.com, or

The FA Safeguarding Team – 0844 169 1863 / safeguarding@TheFA.com
