If you're aged 14-35 you can get your heart screened for free

CRY will be in Derby in March offering free ECG heart screening screening to people aged 14-35.

Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) is a humanitarian charitable organisation helping to raise awareness of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD, SCD), including sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS, SDS).

The charity supports the families of victims of YSCD, facilitates the heart screening of young people through cardiac testing programmes and contributes to medical research.

CRY is also the leading provider of screening in athletes in the UK, operating services for GB athletes, Premiership rugby (Union and League), Premiership football teams, Lawn Tennis Association and offers ECG and Echocardiogram screening to all young people between the ages of 14 & 35.

CRY believe all young people should have an opportunity to have their hearts checked, and will be undertaking free screenings at Da Vinci College in Derby on 17th March.

There have been a number of local instances of young footballers suffering sudden cardiac death in the last few years, so Pride Park FC recommends all eligible members undertake screening. Places are limited - CRY screening events book up quickly, so we advise you to book your place now.
