THE Womens FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round was affected by the weather, with many fixtures postponed.
Having eliminated Hepworth United, who knocked Pride Park out in the Preliminary Round, Blackburn Community Women were themselves edged out 4-3 by Hartlepool, despite having lead twice.
This season’s Cup journey ended for two Derbyshire sides, as Long Eaton and Chesterfield both lost.
Burton Albion and Woodlands will now play next weekend, after their home fixtures against Leicester Utd. and Rise Park respectively, were postponed.
Following yesterday’s matches, the Women's FA Cup third round qualifying was drawn at Wembley Stadium earlier today.
Continuing our „watching brief” to follow the trail from our Preliminary Round exit, Hartlepool Utd, have been drawn at home to Chorley, while Burton Albion and Woodlands face ties against Leek Town and Bedworth Utd respectively - if they can win their 2nd Qualifying Round ties which were postponed yesterday.
