Who get’s your vote?

Players and supporters get their chance to vote for the Ladies Player of the Month (POTM), from a shortlist compiled by the team management.

The Ladies played 4 games in September; the FA Cup tie at Hepworth, the EM Regional Cup game against Draycott Victoria, and the County Cup and League games against Mickleover Sports.

Having started the season in good form, and with everyone playing their part, it has been a particularly difficult task to come up with a short list but, based on performances across all of September’s fixtures, our contenders for POTM are:

Annie Laight
Good start to playing for Pride Park after joining in the summer, scoring four goals in four games in September, plus yesterday’s assist. Her confidence is visibly growing and although there’s undoubtedly more to come, she is forming a good partnership with Maja and Summer.

BethThompson
Missed the FA Cup match through illness but has played in each of the last three games. Growing presence in centre midfield, composed on the ball and developing the knack of knowing where to be to pick up second balls and clearances

Beth Jones
After a year out it has been great to see Beth return to action, featuring in all four games this month, as part of a solid defensive unit, and having an assist to her credit as a bonus - it’s as if she never went away!
