U9 Lionesses
A great debut for Isabella who was understandably a little nervous to start with, having only been to training twice, but did exceptionally well despite being “thrown in at the deep end”, having an excellent first game, getting stuck in and trying her best throughout.

Georgia took goal-keeping duties in the first half and a strong performance from her, allied with great defending by Daisy and Isabella, made for a fairly even first half. On a whole, although we grouped up a bit a couple of times I thought our positioning was good overall and we held a decent shape for most the game.

There were some very good passes/clearances forward from Daisy and a lot of attempted passes by all the team. Ava and Edie made some good runs up the wing - something I'd like to see more of. Playing the second half out of goal, a very determined Georgia displayed the confidence and drive to “want to win the ball” in every challenge. Despite being a little depleted, the girls gave it a really good go: well done!

U8 Jaguars
Such a great effort yesterday in the bad weather by all the girls. Some super runs and we had some great opportunities, especially in the second half. A special mention to Rose who played brilliantly in her first match. Well done girls!
