Pride Park U12s worked hard and showed they are getting more comfortable with pressing high and defending further up the pitch. This was a close game with very little between the teams throughout the game. Pride Park applied pressure from the start and forced an own goal before half time. Hilton never stopped and equalised with a great shot on the break. Trying to play further up the pitch, Pride Park won a free-kick which was well taken by Violet and tapped in by Yumi. Hilton never relented and were rewarded with another two goals. Pride Park continued attacking with shots from Yumi, Eloise and Felicity and the girls just ran out of time to get the equaliser.

The girls showed some real progress in their desire to compete, run into space and defend further up the pitch. Nobody could miss the effort and game play demonstrated by Pride Park's defence on the day: Patsy, Betsy, Rub and Eva.
