CHELLASTON TOURNAMENT REVIEW

CHELLASTON TOURNAMENT REVIEW

David Kwiatek20 Jun - 17:50

The u9 Panthers took part in the Chellaston Tournament earlier today and team manager Scott provides the low down.

What a fantastic performance from both Pride Park teams from our u9 Panthers in the Chellaston Tournament today. Having the opportunity to stand back and watch each player individually was a real pleasure. Every single player should be incredibly proud of themselves. Not once throughout the tournament were we outplayed, and the effort, determination, and teamwork shown by all the girls was outstanding. They truly ran their socks off today, and I don’t think many of them will still be awake past 9pm tonight!

A special mention must go to Aroosh on her Pride Park debut. Wow – what a performance. For someone playing her very first football match, she looked like she had been playing for years and was undoubtedly one of the players of the tournament.

Player Highlights

Aroosh
Watching you today brought a huge smile to my face. You were strong in the tackle, confident running with the ball, and always looking to help the team attack. A debut to remember – very well done.

Ben
A brilliant all-round performance. Strong in the tackle, composed on the ball, and leading the team exactly as a captain should. You set a fantastic example throughout the day. Well done.

Diana
An incredible effort today, playing in all seven matches. Your goalkeeping was excellent, making some important saves that helped the team enormously. When you stepped outfield, you showed great energy, worked tirelessly, and even came close to scoring. Fantastic work.

Edith
A strong defensive display all day. You made some important tackles and consistently broke up opposition attacks, helping the team stay solid at the back. Well done.

Elsie
What can I say? We may have found a new position for you! You stayed up front, followed instructions brilliantly, scored important goals, and worked hard to win the ball back and create chances for the team. Excellent performance.

Emily
A true team player. You worked tirelessly from start to finish, helping both in attack and defence and always putting in the effort for your teammates. Well done.

Priya
Priya continues to show just how versatile she is. Whether in goal, defence, midfield, or attack, whatever is asked of her, she does with quality and determination. I was so pleased with your performance today – this is the Priya I love to see.

Serayah
As a defender myself, watching Serayah play is a joy. Strong in every tackle, confident in every challenge, and always willing to do the hard work that often goes unnoticed. You helped provide the foundation for the team’s success today. Outstanding.

Sofia
A star performance. You carried the ball well, tackled strongly, supported your teammates throughout the day, and even stepped into goal when needed to help the team. That willingness to put the team first was fantastic to see. Well done.

Arabella
Although not playing for Pride Park today, I really enjoyed watching you play. Your running with the ball and shooting were a pleasure to watch. A very impressive performance.

Matilda
A superb display in defence. You broke up play consistently, were strong in the tackle, composed on the ball, and even stepped into goal when the team needed you. A fantastic all-round performance.

Final Thoughts
As a coach, seeing every player improve is what matters most. Winning matches is great, but my biggest reward is watching each of you develop as footballers, grow in confidence, and enjoy the game. Every single one of you should be proud of what you achieved today.

Thank you for your effort, attitude, and teamwork. We are incredibly proud of you all, and being part of this group feels like being part of a family.

Well done, girls – keep working hard and enjoying your football!
Scott
