Our FA Just Play sessions are 100% recreational fun football sessions designed for women that just want to play football. They’re ideal if your New Year resolution is to get fitter!

Women who are aged 18+ are welcome to attend - there’s no upper age limit! The sessions are fully female only, and are about getting fit, learning new skills, having fun and making friends.

Where: Floodlit Astro, Moorways Sports Village, Moor Lane, Derby DE24 9HY (follow the footpath from the end of the car park)

Who are the sessions for?
You! Never played before? No problem - these sessions are for all abilities including absolute beginners!

Whether you’ve played before, and would like to get back in to it, have never played before but would like to give it a go, or you’re a “soccer mum” and don’t think your daughters or sons should have all the fun, these sessions are specifically for you!

What to wear?
Just make sure you’re in clothes you can run around / kick a ball in. We recommend football (astro) trainers and shin pads if you have them – if not then please just wear trainers with good grip. Bring a bottle of water.

The sessions are on 2G/astro pitches, so you won't get muddy. But it does mean that sessions will continue (usually) despite the British weather. So, during the autumn and winter, if it’s raining or cold we recommend that you bring running gloves, thermals and a suitable light waterproof coat.
