LEST WE FORGET

Today is Remembrance Sunday, when we honour those who served to defend our freedoms and way of life.

Ordinarily, teams would observe a silence prior to kick off in games over the Remembrance weekend. Unfortunately, the current lockdown has put paid to that but we take a moment to remember their service, and particularly those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

"They shall grow not old
as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning,
we will remember them"
