Pride Park are delighted to announce a new partnership with Her Game Too, which aims to raise awareness of sexist abuse within the realms of football.

We are delighted that Pride Park FC are our newest grassroots partner club! We look forward to working together with them to highlight their great work they are already doing to grow the women and girls game
- Lucy Ford, Co-Founder of Her Game Too

Pride Park join a number of clubs from the EFL and beyond to commit to the cause, creating further awareness to the problems faced in football by females. Her Game Too is also a call to arms for women to be given equal access to profile, opportunities and advancement in football.

To mark the launch of the partnership, Pride Park Ladies’ final fixture of the season on Sunday 14th May will be designated as our #HerGameToo fixture.

HerGameToo was founded by 12 passionate female football fans who are committed to growing the campaign with the aim of fostering an ethos in football in which women are welcomed and respected equally.

The non-profit organisation aims to create awareness, educate, research, develop a strong sense of community and create strong relationships with clubs, among much more.
Further aims include creating regular content to champion women in football (players, staff and fans), creating strong relationships with club trusts and communities, having a presence at football grounds and sports bars to build a more welcoming environment for young girls and women as well as continuing to campaign against sexism in football and online abuse.

Angie Harper, Pride Park’s Equality Lead said: “as a club comprising only female teams we are very aware of the importance of promoting women and girls’ participation in football in a wide variety of roles. The message that football is for everyone is particularly important for our younger members - and that they can be whatever they want to be."

James Skinner, Pride Park FC’s Chairman said “We are delighted to be working with her Game Too to promote the message and help make football a game for all. We have been developing and expanding our playing and volunteering opportunities for women and girls’ in recent years to include recreational as well competitive football and we are delighted to now be working in partnership with her Game Too as the ethos of their campaign aligns with our own values.
As a women and girls’ club we are continuing to develop on and off the pitch – this partnership is another example of our commitment to growing the female game and reinforcing the message that football is for everyone.”
