Safeguarding is about creating safe environments and preventing children from experiencing harm or abuse. Every young person has the right to enjoy football - and every parent has a part to play by becoming more safeguarding aware.

Pride Park FC is committed to safeguarding children through adopting best practice and recognising and eliminating poor practice. Making football fun, enjoyable and safe is everyone’s responsibility. We all have a part to play and it’s important that parents and carers are able to understand their role and how to report concerns quickly and effectively.

 The FREE 25 to 30-minute course Safeguarding Awareness for Parents & Carers from The FA raises awareness of the role that parents and carers play in safeguarding within football and provides clear guidance on what should be expected and how to report any concerns. We want to create a safe and positive environment for your children to play football. This course will enable you play an active role towards achieving that goal.
