u11 Jaguars v Hilton Harriers
Playing their first game in three weeks the Jaguars made a hesitant start, but the girls grew into the game and played really well - especially in the second half.
With regular keeper Alicia away, Rose and Wren deputised in goal and both made some important saves throughout the game.
We saw some good defending; after the first couple of Hilton attacks, we encouraged the girls to delay the attacking players more to stop them running direct at our goal, and in the second half we saw more of this, helping to limit chances. Well done to Tiana, Ava, Evelyn and Esther for a good performance.
There was good passing again from the whole team and some great attacking play down the wings, with Rose and Amber getting the ball out to Holly, Zara, Lucy and Katie. Several chances were created from this.
Wren chased every ball, especially Rose’s long kicks which also led to a good strike from Amber in the first half. Rose ran through the middle of the Hilton team in the second half getting shots and crosses in.
Freya was named player of the match, constantly closing down and running at defenders, and had shots at goal on a few occasions, getting on the end of a couple of crosses.
A good performance all round, and a very good second half especially. Well done Jaguars!

U10 Pumas v Woodlands
After a couple of weeks off there was a slow start to the game by the Pumas, but they gradually got back into the swing of it to put in a strong performance. Bella took a long throw and the ball fell nicely for Enya for a shot from close range. After Millie won the ball it fell nicely for Bella who skipped around a player and got a shot away and also hit a fierce shot at goal.
All the girls played brilliantly. Bella was named our player of the match after a brilliant all around performance
