U9 Pride Park Panthers v Stanton Ilkeston

A fantastic team performance in challenging conditions!

Pride Park Panthers produced a brilliant performance showing determination, teamwork and plenty of fighting spirit despite the horrible weather.

The girls started the game with just four players available, but that didn’t stop them from battling hard and giving everything for the team. Ben and Sofia worked tirelessly in midfield, winning tackles, covering every blade of grass and creating chances in front of goal. At the back, Serayah battled away brilliantly, while goalkeeper Edith made some important contributions

After the break, now with a full team available, the girls came out full of energy. As the game progressed, the Panthers grew in confidence, encouraged by the fantastic support and positive praise from parents and coaches on the sidelines.

Ben and Sofia both were irrepressible; their work rate, determination and finishing were outstanding throughout.

Serayah continued to battle hard and put in another top performance, never giving up and working tirelessly for the team. Edith, playing her first game in goal, was excellent between the posts, showing great confidence, controlling her box and snapping up loose balls whenever needed. Emily also worked hard up front, putting in a great shift.

With the rain pouring down and conditions far from ideal, every girl continued to work hard until the final whistle. The team’s resilience, attitude and togetherness were there for everyone to see.

Well done, Panthers! A fantastic team effort from start to finish!

POTM: Edith
