As a club run entirely by volunteers, our club thrives thanks to the incredible dedication of our volunteers who give up their precious time to support the club and its teams. They are the backbone of the club: every role, every task, every success - on the pitch and off it - is powered by their selfless commitment. We are deeply grateful for their hard work and passion – we couldn’t do what we do without you!

As it is Volunteers Week this week (from 2nd to 8th June), when the UK celebrates volunteers and says “thank you” to them for the contribution that they make, it’s the perfect time for us to do exactly that. We know our club members appreciate the work done by our volunteers from the nominations we have received for our Volunteer of the Year Award (to be announced shortly).

But volunteering isn’t just about benefitting the community; it's also incredibly rewarding for the volunteers themselves. As well as helping others, volunteering has been shown to have a positive impact on the lives of those who volunteer, assisting volunteers in gaining new skills and boosting self-esteem. How do we know? Our volunteers have told us!
A recent survey of our volunteers at Pride Park revealed overwhelmingly positive feedback, highlighting the many benefits they experience through their involvement:
