Rachel Weaver’s right footed finish from the edge of the penalty area against the University of Derby has topped our poll for February’s Goal of the Month.

The left back beat off competition from netbusters scored by Beth Jones (2) and Tash Allderidge, as well another scored by Rachel herself, to land the award with 33% of the votes - which were very evenly spread across all five contenders.

Rachel’s moment came in the 23rd minute of the game at Moorways. Tash Allderidge’s corner resulted in a scramble on the edge of the six yard box, from which Steph Eadon laid the ball back to Rachel for a first time shot through the crowd and beyond the ‘keeper.
