Pride Park FC is delighted to have been successful in our application to be retained as one of Derbyshire FA’s partners to deliver the SSE Wildcats Football for Girls programme for 2019-20.

Pride Park were first approved to partner Derbyshire FA as a SSE Wildcats Centre a year ago and, after initially starting a Centre at the Racecourse on Saturdays, switched to Moorways on Tuesdays - since when the number of girls participating has steadily grown, so that we now have around 20 girls at the Centre.

The Pride Park SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Centre is intended to provide girls aged 5-11 with regular opportunities to play football. The initiative offers organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment created exclusively for girls and delivered by FA qualified coaches.

The sessions take place every Tuesday from 6-7pm on the all-weather pitches at Moorways Stadium, Allenton, Derby and provide a safe environment where girls can try football for the first time.

Nationally, 97% of girls and their parents told the FA they love the programme a lot, and comments and feedback from parents of the girls attending Pride Park Wildcats Centre include:
