The Ladies are in cup action again this weekend, and will be looking to maintain a good start to the season when they face Matlock Town Ladies in the quarter-final of the Challenge Cup.
The Ladies reached the quarter-final after winning an entertaining first round tie at Belper Town, whilst Matlock were drawn to play Derby Athletic in the first round, but were awarded the tie as a walkover when their opponent failed to commence the season.
The teams have only met on one previous occasion, almost exactly two years ago when they met in the DCFA Womens County Cup, with Pride Park coming back from a three goal first half deficit to win the tie. There are only three survivors of the Pride Park team that played that day still in the squad; Tash Allderidge, Otty Baker and Alice Pearson.
Emma Taylor remains unavailable through injury, but Hannah Roberts has recovered from the hamstring strain that kept her out of the last two games.
The game is at Cavendish Fields, Bent Lane, off Cavendish Road, Matlock DE4 3HL and kicks off at 1.30pm
