In a re-run of last week’s EM Regional Cup game the Ladies face Castle Donington in their opening League game of the season at Alvaston Park on Sunday (1.30pm).

Castle Donington have played two League games already, losing 2-4 and 0-3 away to Buxton and Draycott Victoria respectively. The Ladies will be looking to extend their run of form, but will not be expecting to repeat last week’s scoreline, which was something of an anomaly.

After a resounding home win in the League last season, the Ladies lost at Castle Donington a few weeks later. Including last week’s game, the teams have met on eight occasions, with honours even - 3 wins apiece and 2 draws.

Although there are a couple of last week’s eleven missing, the Ladies welcome back several players that were not available last week, including Jade Howell and Hannah Kwiatek after recovering from injury.

There will be a minute’s silence observed prior to kick off to remember the victims of the Leicester City helicopter crash.
