The Pride are in Cup action on Sunday, when they welcome Borrowash Victoria to Moorways for the 2nd Round of the Cawarden Derbyshire FA Womens County Cup.
Our opponents
Borrowash Victoria joined the DGLL in season 2021/22 finishing third that season, and as runners-up last season. Their home pitch is at the Anderson Arena in Borrowash. The Vics play in red/white striped shirts, black shorts and black/red socks.
Facts and Stats
This will be the seventh time the teams have played, with nothing to separate them; each having won three games apiece. The teams met in the opening League game of the season, with Pride securing a narrow win - Vics’ only defeat of the season to date - but it came at a heavy cost to Pride Park as an injury sustained by striker Summer Evans in the game has prematurely ended her season.
Both teams had high scoring wins in the 1st Round; Pride overcame Belper Town Development whilst Borrowash Victoria beat Shirebrook Rangers to reach the 2nd Round.
There are sixteen teams in the 2nd Round of the Derbyshire FA Women’s County Cup. If the scores are level at the end of 90 minutes, the tie will be decided on penalties. The full draw and past results can be viewed at Derbyshire FA Women’s County Cup Fixtures and Results
