It was a shaky start, with The Devs conceding just 30 seconds in, followed by another Heanor goal only two minutes later. At that point, things could have gone very badly—but credit to the players: they didn’t let their heads drop. After 12 minutes, we found that crucial goal to show Pride Park Devs were far from out of the game.

Heanor struck again just four minutes later to make it 3–1, but the goals kept coming. Rhi netted her first hat-trick of the season, and with Paige joining the scoring spree, The Pride surged ahead. However, Heanor hit back just before halftime, leveling it at 4–4.
Injuries forced some halftime changes and a reshuffle, with Blythe coming on to inject energy into midfield. The second half was just as dramatic: Pride Park Devs pulled ahead by two goals, only for Heanor to claw one back (6–5), then equalize (6–6), and even take the lead five minutes later.

But The Devs weren’t done! In a frantic final 10 minutes, we showed incredible resilience and attacking flair, scoring four more superb goals—two from Evie, plus strikes from Rhi and Blythe—to seal an unforgettable victory.
