PPFC's U15s were back at the Racecourse for an early kick-off against Allenton Utd FC last Saturday. It had been three weeks since their last competitive match and the first time on grass for a while, having been fortunate to play a number of fixtures on 3G.
The game was close and it took PPFC a little while to get used to the pitch. As the match progressed PPFC got into good positions both in and out of possession. There was good movement of the ball and a few skills on show!
At half time the girls were 1-0 up with a cracking goal from Brooke. With only one sub for most of the game, players had to swap through different positions which they managed brilliantly - including our goal keeper Taylor playing upfront! PPFC continued to work hard, creating other chances and near misses across the team. The win was secured with a second goal, following a corner which was volleyed in by Fliss.
Player of the match went to Polly who won every tackle and 50/50 and moved the ball on quickly and confidently.
