The girls put in another really good performance, especially in the first half where they played some lovely football and took their chances well.
Wren got the team off to the perfect start with a great goal, beating the last defender and finishing calmly past the keeper.
The second came from an excellent team move. Freya picked the ball up on the left and delivered a cross, Zara helped it into Grace’s path, who finished neatly inside the near post for her first goal — fully deserved.
Before halftime, Grace turned provider with an excellent through ball to Rose, who timed her run well, drove into the box and finished confidently with her left foot to make it 3–0 at the break.
The second half was tougher, and Little Eaton really came out stronger. They pulled one back, missed a penalty, and then scored a second to set up an exciting finish
To the girls’ credit, they stayed calm and got back on top. Rose added the fourth goal with a strong run from midfield, and Freya, Amber and Georgie all went close to adding more.
Overall, a really good performance. It was a tough match at times, and the girls had to dig in, especially in the last 15 minutes.
Player of the Match went to Katie. It was great to see her confidently taking players on and working hard up and down the wing to support the
defence. Well done!
