The Jaguars delivered another strong performance today, earning a well-deserved 2-0 win in a competitive match with chances at both ends. The girls worked tirelessly throughout, pressing the opposition effectively and repeatedly winning the ball back, while also producing some excellent passages of football going forward.

The breakthrough came in the first half following great defensive work from Holly. Winning the ball confidently at the back, she played a superb forward pass into Rose, who turned sharply, beat the defender and finished calmly past the goalkeeper. Amber and Wren both came close to extending the lead before the break, while Alicia was called into action at the other end, making a series of important saves to keep the Jaguars ahead at half-time.

After the restart, the Jaguars continued to create opportunities. Rose struck the crossbar and Wren saw an effort well saved as the pressure built. The second goal finally arrived when Esther found Rose on the left wing, and her well-delivered cross was finished smartly by Amber to seal the 2-0 victory.

There were strong performances across the pitch. Georgie did an excellent job at right back for most of the match, and it was great to see Tiana back in action after a couple of weeks out. Player of the Match went to Holly for an accomplished display at centre back, consistently winning the ball and setting attacks in motion — including the pass that led to the opening goal.
