A hard day out at the Racecourse for the Lionesses against a very good Coalville.

Starting with only 10 players and going 4 - 0 down in as many minutes set the tone for the game - we could see some players struggling to stay motivated (its hard and we understand!). The girls that did not give up put on a superb performance, and we cant praise this mindset and resilience enough. So... we didn't see the team work, passing and moving we've enjoyed in the past - the pressure was to too great and the players found the game difficult. But we'd just like to highlight a few players below.

Our Player of the match, Greta was absolutely brilliant throughout - a heroic performance in CB - an excellent display of resilience and determination, clearly giving it everything she had to the last second - it was an impressive performance that matched the quality of Coalville.

Next up: Isabel in Goal was superb - she demonstrated some amazing saves and the score did not phase her at all. She showed excellent technique and decision making from the first second to the last. Her focus and concentration was clear to see, with fans from both teams clapping when she pulled of an amazing save - again she was a standout player that we cant praise enough - her mind set incredible!

Ayla stepped up to pull off a personal best performance as RB. She worked so hard against some high level attackers, she didn't give up and tried and tried - even when beaten her mindset was to try and win the ball back.

We cant mention everyone, but many thanks to Zoe, Jasmine, both Layla's and Jess - me and Phil saw some really good glimpses of play and respect the good football you can play
