The Jaguars produced a much-improved performance today, coming away with a fully deserved 5-0 victory over Doveridge.

The girls did everything asked of them and played some excellent attacking football, particularly in getting the ball into wide areas and creating chances.

It took a little while to break the deadlock in the first half, with Zara, Rose & Katie all going close before Wren finally opened the scoring. She then added a second shortly afterwards, with the goal of the day as she brilliantly lifted the ball over the goalkeeper with her left foot.

Holly continued the excellent attacking display, playing in three different positions and performing really well in each, scoring two excellent goals in the process. Amber also got the goal her hard work deserved in the second half, while Ruby once again impressed in central midfield, linking the play really well between the midfield, forwards and wingers.

The defence of Tiana, Evelyn, Poppy, Georgie and Esther also had to stay alert throughout, while Alicia made some important saves, particularly in the second half.

Player of the Match was Wren, who was a constant threat to the Doveridge defence throughout the game, creating problems and helping to create several chances and scoring 2 goals

Overall, it was a good team performance from the Jaguars, with plenty of attacking football, good chances created and a clean sheet to go with the five goals.
