Pride Park Jaguars 2 Little Eaton 4

A strong second-half performance from the girls wasn't quite enough as they fell to defeat against Little Eaton.

The team made a dream start, taking the lead after just 28 seconds through Rose, and created further early chances. Little Eaton responded well, however, and took a 3-1 lead into the break.

Despite the scoreline, the girls showed great determination after half-time and worked hard to get back into the game. They struck both the post and crossbar, while the Little Eaton goalkeeper produced a number of excellent saves to keep them at bay. Wren pulled a goal back with a well-deserved finish, but the girls were unable to find the goals their performance deserved.

The result didn't reflect the effort, attitude and commitment shown throughout the match, and the team can take plenty of positives into the final three games of the season.

Big thanks also to Wren & Rose for sharing goal keeper duties with our normal goalkeeper away.

Player of the Match: Zara, for an energetic and influential display on both wings and played a key role in the second half performance.
