The First team wrapped up a memorable and historic campaign in fantastic fashion as players, coaches, and supporters gathered at The Orange Tree for the annual end-of-season awards evening. It was a night of fun, celebration, reflection, and well-earned recognition highlighting standout individual brilliance and the collective spirit that defines the team.
The infamous "Wooden Spoons" awards which, above all else, are about having a laugh and which lean heavily into the team’s inside jokes and the lighter side of the campaign, got the “formalities” underway:

The Big Winners
The night’s headline awards saw a mix of new form and impressive consistency.
Moments of the Season
Football is defined by moments that take your breath away, and this year's specialised awards celebrated some truly top-class pieces of action.
Goal of the Season: Daisy Bowen
The Goal of the Seasoncategory was an incredibly tight affair this year. Ultimately, Daisy Bowen scooped the award for her absolute stunner against Chesterfield Development in November; Daisy was played in by Tash Collyer, committed a defender with nifty footwork and a drag back to create space before a delicate chip over the keeper from just inside the area.
It was a razor-thin margin, however, with Daisy garnering 31% of the votes just ahead of Aimee Healy-Raynor’s sensational volley against Duffield Dynamo on 29%. Rounding out a highly competitive top three was Otty Baker, whose brilliant lob on the turn—also against Duffield—finished a very close third, accounting for 27% of the votes. Any of the three would have been worthy winners in any other year!
Save of the Season: Jade Howell
At the other end of the pitch, the shot-stoppers were celebrated too. Judged by Steve Waite of the club’s official goalkeeper coaching partner, Under the Bar Goalkeeper Training, the Save of the Season was awarded to Jade Howell for her breath-taking, full stretch save against Belper Town in the County Cup back in November. "The footwork into the save sets it apart from the other contenders” said Steve. It was certainly a save that epitomised Jade's sharp form this season.

Farewell
The team bid a heartfelt farewell to departing coach Jamie Robinson and team manager David Kwiatek. Captain Tash Collyer praised Jamie's four years of enthusiasm and guidance, while honouring Dave's incredible twenty years of dedication that built the foundation of the team and club. Though illness unfortunately prevented Jamie from attending the presentation evening, both coaches were recognised with framed mementos and gifts of appreciation from the team; “thank you for always believing in us, for pushing us, supporting us, and helping create the team and environment we have today” said Tash on behalf of all the players.

A massive thank you to the staff at The Orange TreeThe Orange Tree for hosting another brilliant evening and to every volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who got behind the team this season. A new chapter and challenge beckons as the team starts its preparations for its first season in the Regional League under new management.
