Following the release of the Derbyshire Girls & Ladies League (DGLL) open age division constitution, we are delighted to be able to confirm that our Women’s Development team have been promoted to Division 2!

It is a double celebration for the club this summer. With the 1st team securing their promotion to the East Midlands Regional League, a spot opened up in Division 1 and under the league's “backfilling rules”, Wirksworth Colts retained their Division 1 status, which in turn triggered a chain reaction. Because Matlock Town folded after their relegation from Division 1, an additional vacancy became available in Division 2. As the next highest team eligible for promotion from Division 3, Pride Park Development have taken that spot!

How Division 2 Looks for the Upcoming Season
The Development team will face some fantastic competition this year in a robust 10-team league. Divisions 1 and 2 will both operate on a traditional home-and-away basis.
