Who’s your pick of the performances from the six games played in April?

Pride Park Ladies played six games played in April with a return of 3 wins and 3 defeats (although 2 defeats were subject to contentious decisions by officials), scoring 21 and conceding 13 in those games, most of which were against teams in contention for the top two places.

Performances had been building and culminated in two exceptional performances and results in the final two games of the month against the teams in second and first respectively, scoring 11 goals and conceding 3.

Singling individuals out from what were very good team performances is difficult, to say the least, but it is nevertheless an opportunity to recognise individual contributions and development as part of the team effort and from a number of good individual contributions the short list is:

Summer Evans
Summer has had an injury interrupted season but has shown a return to peak form in April, with energy, drive and desire very much on display in the recent games - rewarded with 4 assists and 5 goals in the 6 games played including a hat-trick in the game against Mickleover.
Summer is sponsored by Liniar

Tash Allderidge
Tash is having what could be her most productive season ever, adding another 3 goals and 3 assists in April’s 6 games. Primarily recognised as a box-to-box midfielder, she has had to adapt and vary her game to work with a number of different central midfield partners, and leads by example - as exemplified by the Borrowash Vics game when we were reduced to ten players for over half of the game. Her set piece deliveries have become an effective weapon.
Tash is sponsored by Hotel 242

Eliot Sayavong
After having been switched to defence through necessity, and retaining her place there, Eliot has been fundamental to more resilient defensive performances - bringing calm and composure to the defence, reading the game well, and being vocal and an organiser - with the added bonus of a goal in the home game against Wirksworth!
Eliot is available to sponsor - for more details on player sponsorship see HERE
