6. Rules of the 50/50 Club


PURPOSE

The purpose of the Pride Park FC 50/50 Club (formerly called the 100 Club) is to raise funds for Pride Park FC to help maintain subscriptions at an affordable level, and to generate funds for additional items of expenditure not covered by subscriptions.

50% of the money raised will be retained in a designated bank account in the name of Pride Park FC, and 50% of the money raised (less allowable expenses) will be distributed as prize money.

RULES

1. The Pride Park FC 50/50 Club (“the Lottery") regardless of the number of shares is intended to be a Small Society Lottery registered with Derby City Council.
2. The purpose of the Lottery is to raise funds for the benefit of Pride Park FC.
3. The Lottery will be administered by a promoter appointed by the Pride Park FC Club Committee (“the Committee”).
4. The Lottery will be open to anyone aged 16 or over. A purchaser of a share becomes a participant in the Lottery. Participants are entitled to hold any number of shares.
5. The number of shares in the Lottery shall be unlimited (subject to the regulations for a Small Society Lottery) and each share shall be allocated a unique number. Membership tickets will be issued by email, showing the name of the local authority, ticket price, name and address of the organiser and date of the draw.
6. The subscription for each share is £2 per month payable monthly in advance. Participants may pay annually, by Standing Order, Bank transfer or cheque (made payable to Pride Park Juniors), or by monthly standing order or direct debit
7. The Lottery funds will be held in a designated bank account in the name of Pride Park FC and reserved for the 50/50 Club.
8. A draw will be held each calendar month on or as close as possible to [20th] of the month in which all numbers paid up at as at [15th] of the month will be included. Details of draws will be posted on or via the Pride Park FC website in advance.
9. A 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize shall be drawn each calendar month using an automatic random generator or other such means as the Promoter deems appropriate. All participants are entitled to attend the draws, which must be held in the presence of at least 2 members of the Committee on such occasions and times as the Promoter shall deem appropriate.
10. The prize fund will total 50% of the receipts for that month.
11. The prize fund shall be distributed: 1st Prize 50%, 2nd Prize 30% and 3rd Prize 20%.
12. There will be no rollovers – only fully paid up numbers will be included in the draw.
13. Winners will be paid by bank transfer, to the account nominated by the participant to the Promoter. It is the responsibility of the participant to advise the Promoter of any change of account details. A list of prize-winning numbers will be published on the Club website.
14. The Promoter will not pay a prize to any Participant other than the purchaser of a winning share.
15. No Lottery participant will be included in the draw if the subscription has not been received. It is the responsibility of each Participant to make sure they have paid their subscription. The Promoter reserves the right to reallocate any number where payment has not been received.
16. Participants can cancel their entry in the Lottery at any time by giving one month’s written notice to the Promoter. Any decision by the Club to end the Lottery will also be by one month’s notice to all Participants.
17. Under no circumstances can subscriptions be refunded.
18. The Promoter will determine any dispute. An appeal may be made to the Committee whose decision shall be final.
19. The Committee may amend or vary the rules of the Lottery at any time subject to one month’s notice. This may include the number or value of prizes (within the limits of a Small Society Lottery).
20. These Rules were approved at a meeting of the Committee. The rules of the Lottery will be published on or via the Pride Park FC website.
21. The Promoter of the Lottery with effect from [1st November 2019] is [David Kwiatek].
22. The funds raised (i.e. not distributed as prizes) shall be retained in a designated bank account in the name of Pride Park FC and ring fenced to the Pride Park FC teams according to the nomination by the participant at the time of submitting their entry.
